Krishna said - Listen to me then.
In the earlier days, there was a great king called Chitraratha, whose son was Srivatsa. He was great king who ruled well. He performed many sacrifices and his subjects were very happy under his rule. His wife, Chinta, was a very pious lady.
One day, in the heavens, Lakshmi and Shani were talking. Lakshmi said she was superior to Shani. All prayed to her. How many prayed to Shani.
They decided to test Srivatsa. Shani, son of Surya, went to the kingdom of Srivatsa.
Srivatsa had just finished his bath in the river, when he saw Shani there. He asked the God the reason for his arrival. Shani said he wanted to know who was superior among him and Lakshmi.
The king said he would give the answer the next day.
Having finished his bath, the king went home and told his queen what had happened.
The queen was not happy. An argument between two immortals, and a human had to judge. This was not a good sign.
The king said what had to happen, would happen.
