Soon Damayanti woke up. She looked around and could not see Nala. She started calling out to him, but there was no reply.
She then got up and started looking for Nala. Not seeing Nala around, she ventured deep into the forest.
While she was moving around she came across a huge hungry snake. Seeing the snake, Damayanti started shouting out for help. Her cries were heard by a hunter who was came running. He saw the snake about to pounce on Damayanti. With a sharp weapon, the hunter killed the snake. he then asked her who she was. He said wanted to have her for himself.
Damayanti then said if she had been true to Nala, the hunter would burn to his death.
That came true and the hunter was burnt. Damayanti then continued her search for Nala.
