Indra and Krishna fight

Seeing Satyabhama, Sachi said Why have you come to take something which is mine?
Satyabhama said I know about you. You are proud, but were you able to stop Naraka from getting the earrings of Aditi? Indra was not able to do anything. Krishna had to kill Naraka and then return the earrings. The tree does not belong to you alone. The tree came from the cosmic ocean and everyone has a right to the tree. Why should you alone deck yourself with the flowers of the tree? I have come to take away the tree, so everyone on earth can enjoy it.

Indra and Krishna started fighting, showering various weapons on each other. Satyaki took the tree and placed it on Garuda. Garuda and Airavata, Indra's elephant, also were fighting each other. Defeated by Garuda, Airavata fell on the ground, unconscious.

Indra said Airavata fell as he was badly hurt by Garuda. The fight would now continue on land. Getting off Garuda, Krishna and Indra resumed their war. Indra finally hurled the Vajra (thunder bolt) at Krishna. Krishna said to Garuda , he could use the Sudarshana and shatter the Vajra, but that would be showing disrespect to the Vajra.

Garuda then threw a feather at the Vajra. The weapon cut off the feather and went back to Indra. Indra also knew that once used, the Vajra would not be available for use for sometime. 

Bhanumati's swayamvar

The sage listen then, O king.
In the land of Pragajyotish, ruled a king called Bhagdatta. He had a beautiful daughter called Bhanumati. The king arranged for her swayamvara and invited many kings. Sons of Dhritarashtra, Bhishma, Karna and Drona, all had gone there. Kings like Jarasandha were also there.
Bhagdatta pointed to the target which was like a fish, placed high up. Anyone who could hit the fish would win his daughter.
When Bhaumati came into the hall, she shone like the sun.
The guests all tried and failed.
The king then declared the contest open for all who could easily handle the bow and shoot the target. Hearing this Karna got and with a single arrow was able to hit the fish.

Bhanumati pleased went with her garland, to put it around Karna's neck. Jarasandha asked Bhanumati to stop. Karna was offended. He had achieved the goal, so what was the issue? Jarasandha said he had helped Karna hold the bow, so he was also equally eligible to have Bhanumati as his wife. The invited guests agreed with what Jarasandha said.

A war of words broke out between Karna and Jarasandha which soon became a war of weapons. While Karna had an upper hand with archery, Jarasandha yielded the mace. Karna with great difficulty was able to use an arrow to cut of Jarasandha's mace. Jarasandha picked up another mace which Karna cut off similarly.
Jarasandha then said he was without weapons and it would not be fair of Karna to fight with weapons. He invited Karna for a wrestling match . They had a fierce match. Karna getting an upper hand, pushed Jarasandha onto the ground and sat on his chest, victorious.

Defeated and insulted, Jarasandha left. Karna then took Bhanumati to Duryodhana, presented her to him.

Janmajeya then asked the sage, what happened then in the hall of Panchala.
